We are very excited to announce the launch of the Harlow Open. Our first Open since 2020.

The Open Exhibition 2023 at the Gibberd Gallery can be entered by any artist who was born, studied, currently resides or is working in Harlow, Uttlesford, East Herts, Epping and Broxbourne districts.

Artists are encouraged to submit up to 3 works created in the last 3 years for selection by our independent judges Kate Mason, Irena Posner and Damilola Lemomu. The judges will make the final decision and no personal feedback can be given. The aim is to include at least 1 work submitted by every artist.

In the spirit of an open exhibition we welcome entries from professional artists and people who create artworks for enjoyment. Drawing, painting, sculpture, photography, digital art, craft and textiles will all be considered (space permitting and subject to health and safety requirements). All artworks selected will be for sale (including a commision at 30 %).

Fees: The entry fee is £5 per piece. The fee is non-refundable even if work is not selected.
