We Are the Music Makers was inspired by ‘Ode’, a poem by Arthur O’Shaughnessy (1844-1930). O’Shaughnessy was also a notable herpetologist (a branch of zoology concerned with Amphibians). Angela Godfrey is a sculptor and was a Trustee of Harlow Art Trust for 20 years. She also helped establish the Playhouse Gallery, now closed, which hosted exhibitions by Henry Moore and Alan Davie among others.
