Ernest Adsetts (1926-2008) trained as a sculptor at the Royal College of Art in the late 1940s and contributed work to the 1951 Festival of Britain. He later moved to Stockholm and, known as Ernest Gordon, became a leading figure in the internationally renowned Swedish glass industry as ‘Scandinavian Design’ began to be celebrated the world over. Stone Seat is decorated with carved images of a ram, a minotaur and a boar.
