Harlow was designed for bicycles. Car ownership in the 1950s was assumed to be so low that ten garages per street was thought to be ample. Sir Frederick Gibberd re-purposed the old roads to create an excellent network of cycle paths. There are 24 sculptures to discover on this loop, which includes the beautiful River Stort Trail. Start at the Grade II listed Harlow Town Station where the river is joined by Burnt Mill Lane.
